Frequently asked questions

How quickly can I receive my 3D printed parts?

Quotes are normally sent within one working day. Standard work takes 7–10 working days and is quoted per job. Express is 3–5 working days for urgent one-off parts, at a 50% surcharge (minimum £15). Trade accounts go ahead of one-off public jobs in the queue. Final timing is confirmed on your quote.

What 3D file formats do you accept?

We accept standard CAD files including .3mf, .stl, .step / .stp, and .obj up to 25MB through our quote modal.

What if I do not have a 3D CAD file?

No problem! You can send us a physical broken sample, a sketch with dimensions, or photographs. Our CAD design and reverse engineering service can recreate the digital model for you.

How are QuickForm Labs prices confirmed?

Every project is reviewed individually. We assess the supplied files, material, quantity, finish and required turnaround before providing a written quotation. Work only begins once you approve the quotation, and we will confirm any price changes with you before proceeding if the requirements change.

How do I know which material is right for my project?

PLA is great for visual models. PETG and ABS offer high strength and heat resistance. PA6 and PA12 nylons are tough and wear resistant, and PA6-CF is the stiffest. You can read our 3D Printing Quality Standards page for full details or consult our team.
